Welcome to the world, Catalina!

Catalina was born two months early, and is currently in the NICU growing every day until she reaches the right weight, so that she can be discharged and welcomed home.

The nurses are amazing and she is doing just great– she is breathing on her own from day 1, drinks her breast milk from a bottle every three hours, and has done really well on all progress milestones as she slowly gains the weight she needs.

Other than being small because of her early arrival, there have been no other problems so far and everything looks great!

Photos will be posted on this blog regularly so that family and friends can keep up with her progress and can meet her from afar.
